Pastor thank you for this forum,
My question is can parents sin be visited on children, even if the such children are in Christ
Sometimes I ask myself what my parent have done as all their children have set back, they are not reaping from us children at all ,even my brother that died two years ago hate my father so much, that he beat and shout at him.
I seen children that their parent abandon still love their parent but not my siblings, am the only who cares for them, even me now, with all my problems, I started staying away as I don't know where my problem is coming from
You are right, your parents case is fundamental.
Now, I will answer your question from the bible, and I quote. :
◄ Jeremiah 31:29 ►
"In those days people will no longer say, '.....The parents have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.'
The answer is either Yes! Or No!
Yes, if the children can break the yoke and fight the battle they will be free forever. This is taken from the bible verse above, but it comes with the some condition as the only way to be free from such shackles or foundational curse or evil pattern. Which brings me to your question again : " You must understand and learn to differentiate between
christianity and the saved.
Meaning, you can be a Christian and not saved,or remain under captivity. That is, to be saved indeed, and for the book of Jeremiah to be fulfill the said victim must be saved and not just being a Christian. There are two different things entirely as we have many hypocrites in this generation that claim to be for jesus and/or Christians but their lifestyle says otherwise, and they know not how to pray or live by faith.
So to break it down ;
Yes, but you must be saved indeed and in Christ.
No, because christianity is not a guarantee that you truly belong to jesus neither can it save. As christianity is just being part of a body of a church or under a religion known as Christ-like,christ follower,or Christians. But how many of us today are actually christ followers, christ-like,or Christians? According to the book of :
◄ Matthew 18:3 ►
And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
◄ Matthew 6:33 ►
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
???
Above all, the word of God stands and so are is covenants with us,but we may fail to tap into these covenants and promises if we fail to meet their criteria or requirements.
Bless u
