Marriage and divorce
#1
Greetings sir,

I have a question that has been bothering me for a while. Every time I read the Bible about marriage I always encounter the same thing that if you marry after divorce you are committing adultery. Matthew 19:9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; [b]and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery
.” And also in Mark 10:11-12 So He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her. And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.” also in Romans 7:2-3 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man.

If you read 1 Corinthians 7 Paul says a couple of things which seem to be in opposition to the assertion of the verses above, in that he gives conditions that would somehow free you from a marriage, but I'm finding him a bit vague. If he says you can let an unbelieving spouse leave, does this mean you are free to remarry? But then that would be in contravention to what Jesus said in Matthew. Because in Matthew He says unless the wife committed sexual immorality it is sinful to remarry.

Please pastor I just need to understand exactly what the Lord’s stand is about this issue according to the scriptures. I am mindful of the fact that the Lord has given me the go ahead to remarry if I want to but I just need to know the scriptural basis for this.

Thank you

At the last sentences, bolded?

Well let me answer you directly,

Ofcourse because the lord personal told you that at your last sentences, bolded below?

But I know won't you satisfy with that answer.

•Because He was never your God ordained husband : actually you disobeyed and go against the lord, bible, his words from the very day you said " I do " to him especially when you get married the God doesn't approved or when you married without God law.

Let me explain :

Don't you realise that it is he that married under the law(Gods purpose and words) that is bound by his law/words, according the bible verses below-and I quote you:

Matthew 19:9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery .” And also in Mark 10:11-12 So He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her. And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.” also in Romans 7:2-3 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man

Don't you realise that you marriage with him was without the law when married without God approval? Don't you know that you can not be for God and never follow his instructions or seek him before you do anything?

Yes, because when you said that " I do " the heaven(the lord) was never involved especially if you're married to whom God didn't approved. And what happens? Devil is bound to reign over such marriage and cause either the two or one to fall/commit one of this sins(above bible verses) : adultery et al.

And that's Because : flesh gives birth to flesh, and but the spirit gives birth to the things of the spirit".
How then can you say you've sinned or go against the will of God when actually you are obeying his word, following his will and he personal gave you his go ahead?

How then can you say you'll disobey God if you marry another man when in actual fact your marriage with your ex wasn't God purpose and he's another man's wife? Tell me.

You must understand that, things of the flesh perish with the flesh. But of the spirit lives with the spirit.
The moment he cheated, committed adultery and divorced you were qualify to remarry(according the bible verses above)(and not You?) there was a separation between the living (spirit) and the dead(flesh)
So, you are the living(born again now,in christ) while he's dead(in the world),the flesh.

Have you every asked yourself, how come, (according to the bible verse above) these verses were made by believers(prophets of God) and for believers and or those in christ?

Note, you are only bound by the law when you operate under the law. And hence the moment you step into/under the law you must obey the things of the spirit/law?

Which are among what I listed above :

•The lord said, you can remarry : that alone is sufficient to go ahead.
• The flesh is dead/you ex hence you can remarry.
• He told you were never married and he's never your husband, the lord told you that in your dream? Shouldn't that be enough to go ahead?

• Old things shall past away, all things shall become new. Meaning? The moment you surrendered your life to jesus. You become a virgin again. Infact you were never married before especially if s/he was the one that committed adultery et al.

• You were not under the lord, but now you are. Mind you, this time, now that you are in christ whoever you get married, under the law only death can separate you. So choose right this time.

•Most important, you must understand that we are not slave under the law. Because we are the word and by the word that comes out of God we are kings.

Let me leave you with this :
How was the bible written?

The bible was written over a period of some 1,600 years.

There were about 40 bible writers, and they followed a single theme without contradicting one another. How was that possible? God guided their writing- read- 2 Samuel 23 :2

Sometimes God spoke to the bible writers by means of angels, visions,or DREAMS. Note the word " Dreams? Usually, God put his idea into the mind of the writer and allowed him to select the words he would use to express God's message -read Rev 1:1; 21:3-5

So my word for you today is?
You need, needed new words, revelation and continuation of his word, law and/or your personal bible :Your dreams. For new direction: vision, dream, message from the angel of the lord.
Which you'll agree with me the lord has never denied you ,right?

Remember? The word/bible is not perfect but every word that comes out straight from the mouth of God is perfect.
No wonder, the lord says " in the book of joel 2:28 :
In the last day...you young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams.

You need vision, dreams and message from the lords angel to determine his purpose and what God has in mind for you in this latter days.

So go ahead, ask the lord to open your eyes to see more vision, dream more dreams and give you msg from his angel.
Ask him to open your personal bible (dreams/visions) that you want to read that page that agree with your/his decision to remarry.

Lastly let me also leave you all with this :

â—„ Matthew 4:4 â–º
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

So you see?
Whether your marriage was abusive one, your partner committed adultery or a marriage that's suicidal and/or such that threaten your existence? Whatever the outcome is seek God and let his words guide you because we live by his words not by law. I.e, he speaks through dreams and direct out ways hence, in this dispersion is also to live by that word according to book of joel 2:28.

Further question?

Bless you.
