Deuteronomy 24:14-15
"You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your aliens who is in your land in your towns. "You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets, for he is poor and sets his heart on it; so that he will not cry against you to the LORD and it become sin in you.
Leviticus 19:13
'You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him The wages of a hired man are not to remain with you all night until morning.
Leviticus 25:50
'He then with his purchaser shall calculate from the year when he sold himself to him up to the year of jubilee; and the price of his sale shall correspond to the number of years. It is like the days of a hired man that he shall be with him.
Mark 6:37
But He answered them, "You give them something to eat!" And they said to Him, "Shall we go and spend two hundred denarii on bread and give them something to eat?"
The bible verses above warned against depriving the poor : Your employees and/or those who God has assigned to serve and commit their time,energy and life for the service of humanity(YOU).
We must never deny them their wages : ( Testimonies or seed, appreciation or..)because every worker deserves is pay lest the God of the poor fights you.
The poor in this context can also be liken as a person who abandoned/set aside his/her self interests to serve (you). One who commits his life, abandoned his wealth,home, life, and everything he's ever acquired in life for the service or well-being of others/humanity and to the service/call of God.
And, one who commit his/her self to you in other to serve you or work for you. You must never despise nor mistreat the poor nor deny them their wages as the angel of the poor and the weak are fierce angels and can destroy a whole nation within a blind of an eye.
Therefore, my word for you today is, in all you do, in your dealings with God and men? Fear Godiiii
