I would like to take this opportunity to testify about the goodness of the Lord.
1. This morning as I was leaving my place to drop my son at school and go to work, I got out of my place at the same time as my neighbour. My son and I got into the car while my neighbour also got into his car. When I started the car, it would not start, after the second attempt it dawned on me that the battery must have been flat. Just then my neighbour who was already inside his car, came out and asked if I needed help. I told him that I think the battery is flat as I went to open the bonnet. He said ok, and went to his car, got a jump starter kit and we got the car started. I thanked him and we parted ways. The whole thing did not last even five minutes, I did not have to wait for anyone or call anyone, help arrived just in time. On the way I was thinking how God arranged my neighbour who happens to have exactly what I would need, to leave his house as I was also leaving, such that I didn't even need to ask or be stressed about what to do. The Lord is worthy to be praised!
2. I also want to thank the Lord for his grace over my family. We are by no means a rich or well to do family, but I thank God that we are still a family. My brother who is still at varsity got an internship that I have never experienced before. The company paid for his flight tickets and have put him in a guesthouse for the duration of the internship, although its a short one, but I have never seen an intern that gets flown by the company and accommodated ever since I have been in the labour market. It can only be the grace of God.
3. My elder brother's son was doing internship last year and this year he got employed permanently by the same company, without having to stress looking for work or even stay at home while still looking, and the company he works for is a very big company that many people would do anything to get into. And I must add that it is very difficult for young people without experience to find employment especially with those big companies, many people have to stay at home for months or years after completing university.
4. My younger brother's wife has also been studying in 2015, last year she got a temp job for a few months. When it was time for her to leave because her contract had ended, the boss said there is no way they would let her go. And this is in teaching where there are a lot of people with similar qualifications as she does, but most sit for years at home before they get even temporary employment. They told me that there was another teacher who had more experience than her and would have been a preferred candidate to stay, but they let her go.
The Lord has done so much for my family, I can only say thank you Lord although even that is not enough.
