Today I made a sad and quite disturbing realisation of how much the devil has entrenched his kingdom in people's lives, all due to money. What I learned today is such an abomination that I will not repeat it here, for fear of someone getting traumatised like I am. If you look around you these days people are all about money, power, fame and most importantly people are all about pleasure, pleasing their lusts at all costs. Indeed people are lovers of themselves and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Brethren, Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we are to seek the kingdom of God and its righteousness and He will take care of our needs. We cannot run after money or fame, because this is what the devil is using to lure many people into abominations that cannot be named. If we are to remain in the kingdom of God, we need to let go of chasing after these things, if we do our very souls are in danger.
People who make a lot of money these days are those who have given up any kind of godliness, because they reckon as long as they have money... Brethren, let us pray that our love for God is always more than our love for money or physical needs. Let's pray for a heart that is for God so much that we can say "I'd rather be poor and pleasing to my God than be rich and be an abomination to God" because at the end of the day, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul.
Let God take care of our needs while we live in righteousness and humility before Him, because He can. Let us learn to be patient and wait for Him when we are in need, if we lack patience the devil is very quick to offer shortcuts, which are literally shortcuts to hell.
We live in a rotten rotten world, all I see is the great mercy of God that we are still getting the rain and sunshine and we still have newborn babies and we have plants growing. I don't see any other reason why God will tolerate the things that people are doing except for his mercy. Let's pray for our children who are literally growing up in this filth and some don't know any different. Let's pray for our families, our spouses and ourselves, that we may not lose our faith in these last days. Let's pray for an even stronger faith, regardless of whether we are rich or poor, whether we are as nothing or famous. Let's pray for a heart that is pleasing to God, for our lives to be a pleasing aroma to Him.
