The Word
#1
Good afternoon everyone

I read the Bible but if I don't keep reminding myself of the chapter I just read I see myself reading same chapter the next day without knowing I had read it yesterday, until I come across some words that may remind me.

1. How does one study the Word of God

2. When can one say that he or she has effectively studied the word of God.

Please help me.

1. The word of God isn't your academic books or notes it's meant to meditate on, fit it into your day-to-day life and faith. Do you understand the logic, and connect with what I am saying!?

2. You can never have enough, daughter. But to answer your question ;

The very moment you connect with it, it connects with you, and deeply felt, and touched every of your being.

Should you have more questions? Don't hesitate.

Bless you.

How does one meditate on the word of God, by thinking of what one just read?

I see people read the Bible, close their eyes for a few minutes and soon start praying. And they say it's praying in spirit.

I read the word and try as much as I can to remember what I may call 'the keywords' These I apply in my prayers, depending on the passage and prayer points and they works wonders.

I wish to know how to mediate on the word so I don't keep trying hard to remember what I had read after I had closed and kept my Bible.

Good morning everyone.

Daughter, there are really no words to describe or define how to meditate the word of God. And you should stop trying to hard to else you will miss it all.

It's not about reading, meditating or understanding what you read, it's way beyond that. It's about the holy spirit, the thirst for God, the zeal, and the longing to assimilate into everything about his kingdom, daily, and to love him beyond words can explain.

But to answer your question, I would say, it's divine, it's about the holy spirit, and knowing whom God really is, and how he thinks, does and act.

Bless you.

Alright
I think it will best, each time I want to read the Bible, to invite the holy spirit and ask him to come teach me.

Thank you sir for taking your time to explain. I'm pleased.

Little contribution from my end.start with those words of God that you said they did wonder by meditating on them.Find a convenient time that you will not be disturbed, relax yourself with your eyes closed and begin to think of those words...your understanding of them, what made them that powerful.you will then begin to realise the greatness of God. But this practise reuires all our concenstration and with the help of the Holy Spirit.

I hope this help.
